Dynamic Audio Implementation for 2D Platformer

Project Overview:

For this 2D platformer, I implemented a responsive audio system that dynamically adapts to gameplay:

  1. Music System:

    • Composed nine unique music cues (3 intros, 3 main loops, 3 outros) in an arcade style.

    • Utilized horizontal composition in Wwise for seamless transitions and procedural generation, adapting to game states like starting, mid-level, and completing a level.

  2. Sound Effects:

    • Designed diverse effects for gameplay elements: bomb actions, enemy deaths, health pickups, and player interactions (e.g., jumps, gunshots, taunts).

    • Employed layering and variation techniques to keep the audio fresh and immersive.

  3. Integration:

    • Used Wwise to manage event-driven audio in Unity, ensuring real-time responsiveness.

    • Followed Agile practices to iteratively refine audio elements, enhancing the overall player experience.

This project highlights my ability to deliver engaging, adaptive audio solutions using advanced tools and methodologies in game development.
