Modeling: Greenlight A Vet

This is an original composition project designed to closely emulate the musical characteristics of "Greenlight A Vet" reference commercial video. This project utilized the technique of "Compositional Modeling," where a single reference piece is studied and used as the foundation for creating a new, yet similarly structured, composition.

In this exercise, I carefully analyzed the form and structure of the original commercial's music and used it as a blueprint for my composition. By matching the harmonic rhythm and employing similar chord qualities without directly copying the progression, I ensured that the new piece retained the essence and feel of the reference. Additionally, I mirrored the instrumentation to maintain a cohesive and familiar sonic palette.

The project involved:

  • Using the form as a structural blueprint.

  • Matching the harmonic rhythm of the original.

  • Employing similar chord qualities without directly replicating the chord progression.

  • Utilizing instrumentation very similar to the reference piece.

By focusing on a single reference, I was able to create a composition that closely aligns with the original while still being an independent work. This exercise allowed me to refine my skills in musical analysis, structural composition, and orchestration, showcasing my ability to produce music that meets specific stylistic and structural criteria.

This modeling exercise stands as a testament to my versatility as a composer and my capacity to adapt and model existing musical forms to create new, original works that serve specific commercial needs.
